IAAF welcomes first member of 2021

Sampa UK & Ireland has been announced as the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation’s (IAAF) first member of 2021.

With 2500+ employees worldwide, the company has been distributing products since 1994, with product and industry expertise that dates back to 1950.

Since then, the company has developed its manufacturing and procurement offering, operating on a 185.000 m2 integrated factory campus. It also has a 3,000 m2 Research & Development centre which employs over 100 engineers and designers, working on new products, processes, materials and methods.

Distributing commercial vehicle parts for both trucks and trailers through a network of approved stockists across the UK and Ireland, Sampa’s core programme covers over 40,000 references with over 8,000 now available from its distribution warehouse in the UK.

Kemal Kahraman, Managing Director of Sampa UK and Ireland, said: “Sampa entered the UK market in March 2020 with a dedicated distribution hub based in Manchester. Employing local people and working with the local University of Manchester on new innovative manufacturing materials, Sampa is keen to support the UK commercial vehicle aftermarket.

“We see the IAAF as a key organisation that will offer support and with which we can collaborate with to ensure the security of the independent automotive aftermarket. We will work closely with its members and the wider market to further promote the values of membership across the sector.”

Mike Smallbone, Head of Membership Development, added: “It’s great to kickstart the year so positively and we’re delighted to have Sampa on board, as we’re sure their vast industry experience and expertise will prove beneficial to the membership.”
