Mannol introduces its Catalytic Ester Additive

With petrol prices reaching an all-time high, stockists can now get hold of Mannol’s new Catalytic Ester Additive, which can clean and improve the efficiency of the fuel and exhaust system on a vehicle, reducing fuel consumption and maintenance costs.

The new additive is suitable for all types of petrol engine, including two-stroke and hybrid engines and those equipped with catalytic converters.

The formulation of Catalytic Ester Additive (9202) contains synthetic ester technology derived from the aerospace industry, as well as complex detergents and ashless lubricant. Mannol said it can clean and improve the efficiency of catalytic converters without the need for expensive dismantling, while also optimising the operation of oxygen or Lambda sensors.

By increasing the combustion temperature of the engine and releasing active oxygen, Mannol Catalytic Ester Additive also removes deposits from the entire exhaust system and optimises the composition of the fuel-air mixture, which, in turn, increases engine power and efficiency. The additive also reduces carbon monoxide formation, thus increasing the life of key components, such as catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, spark plugs, and fuel injectors.

By aiding effective lubrication of the entire fuel system, Catalytic Ester Additive also reduces the formation of deposits, such as soot, varnish and resin, in areas like injectors, carburettors, spray nozzles, fuel pumps, and intake valves.

Mannol said it boosts fuel economy by preventing deposits in the combustion chamber, reducing wear of cylinders, pistons and piston rings and thus extending engine service life. This also reduces starting problems and allows smoother idling.

Mannol Catalytic Ester Additive is simple to use, with the product added to the petrol tank in the ratio of 450ml for every 30l of fuel. As well as helping to save on petrol costs, it can also reduce the possibility of engine issues and reduce vehicle repair and maintenance costs. It is especially suitable for vehicles that are frequently used in a start/stop urban driving environment.
