DENSO reports on its Experience Campaign 2022

Multiple World Rally Championship (WRC) champion, Sébastien Ogier, brought DENSO’s Experience Campaign 2022, the brand’s loyalty programme to a climax, by winning the Spanish round of the 2022 championship held in Catalunya, in front of 33 DENSO customers from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and the United Kingdom.

DENSO reported that customers enjoyed numerous exciting activities in and around the event, while the WRC competitors fought out the battles for the stage wins, which would decide the overall honours.

As a commercial partner of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, with DENSO branding on the team’s four Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 hybrid cars, there was added satisfaction, as the team and driver/co-driver combination of Ogier and Benjamin Veillas took the victory. With a third place for newly crowned 2022 world champion Kalle Rovanperä, and the other two Toyotas finishing in sixth and seventh, the team also wrapped up the manufacturers’ title, the Japanese manufacturer’s second successive WRC honours.

Speaking after the Experience Campaign event, DENSO Europe, Pan European Strategic Marketing Manager, Fatiha Laauich said: “Recognising our valued customers and being able to show our appreciation for their loyalty at such a prominent event, with so many exciting opportunities to take part in and the added bonus of the win, is a fitting way to say a collective ‘thank you’ for their ongoing support.

“Just like the WRC, the independent aftermarket is a competitive environment and both wholesalers and workshops have a multitude of choices when supplying and installing replacement parts. That’s why we are particularly pleased to acknowledge the commitment of our customers through this campaign and share some insight of the involvement DENSO has with the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing WRC programme, which also reflects the inter-reliance that we have with our customers and demonstrates the true partnership we both enjoy.”
