Ring Automotive discusses its lighting offering

New lighting technology brings new opportunities for both the garage and motorist, according to Ring Automotive, so it’s just as important that the latest developments are embraced by motor factors to keep vehicles safe and roadworthy.

Thoroughly checking all lights around a car is a swift and safety-critical exercise and should be applied to every vehicle going through the workshop for servicing, especially as faulty bulbs are one of the most common reasons for MOT failure.

Upgrade bulb ranges present opportunity for factors to upsell and deliver improved visibility for drivers. It’s important that factors opt for the latest and quality products, and Ring believes its award-winning Xenon200 headlamp bulb, to keep vehicles roadworthy and drivers and passengers safe, is perfect for the job.

New counter display unit (CDU)

Ring has launched the Xenon200 CDU, which contains twin packs of the H7 and H4 Xenon200 brighter upgrade headlamp bulbs. The CDU is pre-stocked with five RX2077 (H7) twin packs and three RX2072 (H4) twin packs in new eye-catching and refreshed packaging. It’s suitable for placing at the point of sale and offers an opportunity for retailers to upsell to a brighter headlight bulb instead of a standard bulb.

As mentioned in the July/August edition of Professional Motor Factor, Ring’s range of value-added products (VAP) are packaged with 100% recyclable materials and comprise of a fresh new look across the seven product lines: Xenon200, Xenon150, Xenon100, Xenon5000, Xenon4000, RallySport and SportzBlue.

Stocking up on the right equipment

As well as the importance of high-quality lighting and delivery of optimum visibility in winter weather conditions, it’s important to stock up on the equipment that keeps drivers moving, reports Ring Automotive.

Flat batteries are one of the most common reasons for breakdowns in the UK, and the colder weather makes the problem worse. This means that technicians and motorists become even more reliant on battery chargers to power up vehicles, so stocking a range of high-quality products could prove essential to meet demand.

Ring has developed the RSC804, RSC806 and RSC808 smart battery chargers and maintainers to keep drivers safer on the roads and easily restore power to motorcycles, cars, 4x4s, vans and trucks in the event of a battery failure.

All three of the 800 series battery chargers are recommended for use with start/stop vehicles, and are compatible with lead-acid, gel, calcium, EFB and AGM batteries. RSC804, RSC806 and RSC808 all feature a cold weather charging mode that protects batteries in cold temperatures.
