Ring revamps its retail bulb packaging

In its continuing bid to make the business and its ranges more sustainable and environmentally friendly, Ring is launching their new paper based bulb packaging.

With it, the entire retail blister bulb offering will change from its previous plastic blister pack, to a new hanging carton pack option.

Although the products will no longer be visible through the pack as they were with the plastic blisters, they are shown on the packaging, which means they are easily identifiable to customers. The new packs are just as durable and robust as their predecessors.

The new retail hanging carton packaging will be phased in, in a running change according to stock availability and will apply to over 60 parts in the range, offering 95% coverage. Ring offers full car parc coverage within its entire bulb portfolio.

Ring’s Marketing Director, Henry Bisson, commented: “We all know how important our carbon footprint is and throughout our company, we are trying to be more environmentally conscious, and our new packaging is just one part of this.

“This sustainable paper based packaging can be seen in our other product ranges, such as battery and tyre care, and our retail bulb packs will now join this new packaging style, creating a more environmentally friendly and cohesive range.

“As well as reducing our environmental impact, the new packaging gives a greater brand stand out appeal, when merchandised in store.

“While this will not be an immediate change, as old stock filters out and is replaced with new stock, we expect our sustainable packaging will be filling shelves by next year and our old packaging will cease to exist.”
