IAAF kicks off five-a-side tournament at Stoke City FC

The Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation (IAAF) is set to host a five-a-side football tournament on Thursday 22nd May 2025, at the bet365 Stadium, home of Stoke City Football Club.

The event is designed to offer aftermarket professionals the opportunity to showcase their skills on the pitch while networking with colleagues from across the sector.

With only 24 team spaces available, demand is said to have been high, with just a few spots remaining. Those looking to take part are encouraged to register to avoid missing out.

The five-a-side tournament will feature a football competition from 2pm to 7pm, taking place on four quarter-size pitches set up on the stadium’s main pitch.

Teams will experience the exclusive use of the stadium facilities, reportedly including both home and away changing rooms, and a tunnel line-up with the Champions League anthem. The event will be officiated by FA-qualified match officials, with a paramedic team on-site for added safety.

Along with the matches, it’s also said participants and spectators will be able to use the stadium’s PA system, trophies, an awards ceremony and a live tournament results website. For added convenience, an on-site kiosk will offer drinks and snacks, and parking will be available for attendees.

Mark Field, Chief Executive of the IAAF, said: “This is a great opportunity for the industry to come together in a fun and competitive environment, reinforcing the camaraderie and spirit that makes the automotive aftermarket the best sector there is. We’re expecting a fantastic day, and with spaces filling up fast, we encourage teams to sign up as soon as possible.”
