Borg & Beck turbo hoses available from Marathon

Turbo hoses have traditionally been ‘dealer-only’ components, according to First Line Ltd; however, its Borg & Beck agreement with Marathon Warehouse Distribution means the wholesaler can now offer you these parts.

Pressing emissions standards in vehicle manufacturing have resulted in smaller engines going into today’s passenger cars. Often though, to make up for the loss in power delivered by a smaller engine, the horsepower is topped up with a turbocharger.

As the use of turbos become more ubiquitous, so do the parts associated with fitment and operation such as turbo hoses. The hose needs to withstand severe heat and be constructed to prevent splits and defects, which will cause the turbo to rev higher, and, ultimately, fail sooner. Turbo defects will also result in a drop in performance, increased emissions, and can cause the vehicle to fall into ‘limp home’ mode.

The range

The Borg & Beck portfolio covers more than 680 references, including air filter, emission control, intercooler and turbo hoses.

What’s more, the range features original equipment (OE) connectors, is manufactured with materials to ensure performance and longevity, and it is supplemented by a range of more than 35 hose clips.

When it comes to turbo hose product identification, it is difficult to explain which hose is required; therefore, helpfully, there is a Borg & Beck technical layout drawing for every reference.
