What Motaquip’s VW T5 Transporter range looks like
With staycations on the agenda for many holidaymakers, the trusty VW T5 Transporter (2003- onwards), basis for many a camper van, will probably have been out in force. Reassuringly, Motaquip has the model covered with a range that keeps the nation’s fleet of Transporters road-ready.
Motaquip believes it is renowned for an eclectic range, one that encompasses filtration, engine management, wheel hubs and bearings, batteries, lubricants, to name but a few. At the core of its offering are braking and steering and suspension ranges.
Motaquip has the Transporter T5 (2003-2015) covered, with a steering and suspension portfolio that includes ball joints, wishbones, suspension bushes, stabiliser links, tie rod ends, rack ends, top strut mountings and a strut mount kit.
Switching to braking, for 2003 to 2009 and 2009 to 2015 variants, Motaquip provides brake pads and discs for the front and rear axles – including three different diameters of discs that are required to cover the T5 range. Motaquip also provides all new brake caliper units across the T5 model range, plus brake pad fitting kits and brake cables.
Motaquip technology
Motaquip claimed that, for over four decades, it has focused on “advanced design, precision engineering and rigorous testing” to ensure every part fits and performs as it should. With ‘fit and forget’ at its heart, the Motaquip brand has been the choice of technicians for generations.
Motaquip Senior Product Development Manager, Peter Wallace, said: “Our range for the T5 Transporter is indicative of our all makes, all models philosophy, and we are well placed to support aftermarket demand for Transporter replacement parts.
“As T5s roll onto ramps up and down the country, the network of motor factors that faithfully supply Motaquip will support garages and vehicle owners with our high-quality parts for this much-loved vehicle.”
Steering and suspension
Precise engineering: Ball-pins used in Motaquip steering and suspension parts are precision machined from high-quality materials for lasting durability and reliability.
Advanced materials: High-strength alloy plates are utilised for lightweight performance whilst premium rubbers maximise heat resistance and protection from foreign particles.
Comprehensive solutions: Motaquip recommends replacing steering parts in pairs. This practice “better maintains” vehicle handling and safety, and promotes longevity of tyres, shock absorbers, strut mounts, and brakes.
Braking
Noise control technology: Motaquip brake pads feature multilayer noise control shims that deliver a quieter drive.
High-grade components: Brake pads use high-grade steel back plates that integrate with the brake caliper for simple installation.
Stopping power: Motaquip’s MTEC bedding-in compound ensures the brakes work from the moment they are applied.
