A1 Motor Stores’ members have welcomed TRICO’s initiative to donate £1 to charity from every set of blades sold through its stores.
Receiving the donations will be Speed Of Sight, a charity based in Bolton and run by blind race car driver and multiple World Record holder, Mike Newman and his co-founder, John Galloway. TRICO is the headline sponsor for the charity, which hosts driving experiences for children and adults with disabilities.
This joint initiative between TRICO and A1 Motor Stores began on 14th June 2021 and is running until the end of July 2021, with the public able to buy a pair of TRICO wiper blades from more than 70 A1 Motor Stores across the country, or online here.
TRICO’s Group Brand & Marketing Manager (Europe), Sam Robinson, said: “We’re thrilled with the reaction we’ve had to this promotion so far, and A1 members are more than willing to get involved because they’ve seen what this incredible charity is doing.”
Phil Wilkinson, Managing Director at McGanns A1 Motor Stores, added: “We wanted to get involved in this campaign because it promotes a charity that helps disabled people and that’s always something we want to support.
“We’ve had a great amount of interest so far, and most people who come into the store pick up a leaflet about the campaign, but we’re also actively telling our customers about it. So, if drivers want to donate a little bit of money to a great charity and get a brilliant set of wiper blades at the same time, this is perfect for them!”
