Comline launch its EV brake pads range
Comline has announced the launch of EVLine, a dedicated range of brake pads engineered specifically for EVs. The British aftermarket brand says this new line can meet the demands of the growing EV market in the UK.
In April 2026, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) announced the registration of the two millionth battery electric vehicle (BEV). This marked approximately 5% of the UK car parc. A month later, the SMMT revealed BEVs had captured a record monthly market share of new vehicles at 27.3%, highlighting the accelerating adoption of EVs.

Comline says its Business Line team has been consistently expanding its product offerings to include EV and hybrid references, analysing VIO data to do so. With over 3,700 part numbers currently available and new additions added monthly, EVLine is a direct response to the growing number of EVs.
The company says EVLine brake pads are R90-approved and engineered so they are quiet when in use and offer consistent stopping power. This is further helped by an additional scorching process after curing, which stabilises the friction characteristics at higher temperatures. Comline’s blue livery appears on the CEM115 friction material too.
Why is EVLine needed?
Although regenerative braking handles the majority of deceleration in EVs, the brake pedal remains an essential part of driving. Brakes are still required for emergency stops, driving in extreme weather, and when regenerative braking is limited, such as when the battery is at a high state of charge.
However, because friction brakes are used less frequently, Comline says brake pads and discs can be exposed to rust, debris, and corrosion during prolonged periods of inactivity, increasing the likelihood that they will eventually require replacement.
How many part numbers are in stock?
Currently, 69 Comline EVLine references are in stock, with more in development. Recent additions include part numbers for the Fiat Ducato (2020-2023), Ford Tourneo Custom (2024-onwards), and Transit Custom (2024-onwards), Maxus Edeliver (2020-onwards), and Mazda MX-30 (2020-onwards).
