MAM’s partnership with Worldpay helps its customers
MAM Software has partnered with Worldpay from FIS, integrating card payments with the aim of creating payment efficiencies and reducing errors.
Credit and debit cards have overtaken cash as Britain’s main payment method; cards are now the preferred payment method in retail sales. With this trend set to continue, it’s critical that card transactions are processed as efficiently as possible, according to MAM Software.
By joining forces with a “trusted payments partner”, Worldpay from FIS, and integrating its point of sale process from within its Autopart system, MAM Software provides payment processing solutions with card machines. These support the latest chip and PIN card technology, contactless cards and digital wallets.
The integration removes the need to have to manually enter the transaction amount into the card machine. Not only does this save time, reported MAM Software, it also prevents users from mistyping values on a keypad and recording transactions incorrectly – effectively eliminating human error.
How does it work?
Working in conjunction with a card machine, users can process chip-and-pin and contactless payments directly from their point of sale. Users select the Worldpay option from the ‘method of payment’ screen and follow the on-screen prompts, which reflect those presented on the card machine.
Payments can be processed within the software’s ‘point of sale’, ‘sales order entry’ and ‘receipt of payment’ screens. Transaction identifiers are recorded in the database for reporting purposes and can be printed on the invoice if required.
Kerridge Commercial Systems Managing Director UK and Ireland, James Mitchell, said: “Our latest partnership with Worldpay is another great example of our commitment to providing our customers with the choices to have the right tools they need to run their business.
“By integrating card payment processing, it helps our customers to improve their customer service levels by helping to speed up transaction processing, reduce keying errors along with providing users with access to competitive processing fees.”
