Valeo expand Asian car part portfolio

Valeo Service UK is meeting growing demand for Asian vehicle parts by offering a transmission portfolio covering up to 90 per cent of the parc.

Industry analysis from automotive analyst, Matthias Schmidt, reported that Asian brands accounted for about 24.5 per cent of new passenger-car registrations in Western Europe in 2024.

Valeo says this shift brings new expectations in key areas, such as transmission systems, where efficiency, smooth operation, and driving comfort are particularly important.

Valeo has developed long-standing partnerships with Asian VMs, including Chery, GWM, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, MG, Nissan, Suzuki, and Toyota. Valeo reports these collaborations enable it to bring OE expertise into the aftermarket.

Valeo’s Asian transmission offering spans more than 1,900 part numbers, covering traditional clutch kits, hydraulic-bearing kits, dual mass flywheels (DMFs), FullPACK DMFs, and dual dry and dual wet clutch systems. This coverage supports high-volume models, such as the Nissan Qashqai, Toyota RAV4, Corolla, and Aygo, Hyundai Tucson, i20, and i30, Suzuki Swift, MG HS, and GWM Hover.

The range also extends to modern automatic transmission technologies, including torque converters, clutch-by-wire systems, dual clutches, flywheels, and actuators.
