A look at Comline Group’s relocation to Bedford
Comline Group’s relocation to Bedford Commercial Park, established as the company’s global headquarters, marks a transformative step – both from a technological and personnel perspective. Our editor, Tom Henman, is delighted to bring you this exclusive.
Even before I walk through the electric sliding doors of Comline Group’s shiny new headquarters, I drive past the large, unmistakable signage proudly displaying the company’s brands – Comline, Motaquip, and Allied Nippon. The illuminated sign means the new home is visible to the thousands of people that drive past the site each day.
The move to Bedford Commercial Park is not just a change of address but a significant upgrade from its previous premises in Luton, where the company spent 17 productive and hard-working years.
Having visited the Luton facility several times, I can confidently say that the new units in Bedford are a substantial step up – even the roads leading up to the site are an improvement. The vibrancy of the new location is palpable, from the bright corridors and inspiring slogans on the office walls to the bustling warehouse and meeting facilities. The atmosphere evokes the excitement of moving into a new home: a clean slate, a new chapter, and a sense of renewed energy.
This sentiment is echoed by Comline Group General Manager – Marketing and Communications, Leigh Davies, who described the relocation to Bedford Commercial Park as “a fresh start in line with our business goals”.
He said: “The site feels bright, modern and open. It has created a renewed sense of optimism and energy among the team. Although we’ve only been here for a couple of months, it already feels like home.”
The new workspace, which Leigh described as “spacious, brighter, and thoughtfully designed,” has evidently had a positive effect on the over 100 staff members based at the new headquarters.
He added: “There’s a noticeable lift in office morale. The move has definitely reinvigorated the team, and our culture has never been stronger.”
Like moving into a new home, challenges remain, but Leigh emphasised that the team is united in its approach to maximising the potential of the new facility, with a keen focus on ensuring that both staff and customers benefit from Comline Group’s new era.
