Carwood appointed HC Cargo distributor in UK
Building on a heritage in auto electrics, Carwood is taking on sales and technical responsibility for Cargo rotating electrics, in its home market.
Remanufacturer, Carwood, is extending its rotating electrics programme as the newly appointed distributor for Holger Christiansen (HC Cargo) in the UK. Under the agreement, effective immediately, Carwood will stock, distribute and support the full range of HC Cargo rotating units and spare parts. Alongside its own in-house remanufacturing, electrical repair and rewind capability and specialist vehicle servicing, its customers can access the parts and technical expertise they need for a high-quality and profitable vehicle or equipment repair, according to the company.
Simon Quantrell, Deputy Managing Director, Carwood, commented: “We are delighted to pick up the mantle, following the closure of HC Cargo’s separate sales and distribution channels in Europe.
“We have been selling Cargo product for some years, and have been involved in the auto electrics business for many – it’s where we started back in 1966 – so we’re confident we have the product and service expertise, technical know-how, and now an even more comprehensive range, to meet all your Cargo rotating electric needs.”
HC Cargo is a mid-price Bosch brand, offering customers what it claims is a cost-effective, high-quality repair alternative. As its newly appointed distributor, Carwood will stock a range of Cargo products for car, truck, off-highway and industrial applications. This is said to include starters, alternators and spare parts such as: solenoids, drives, armatures, rotors, stators, pulleys and bearings.
Together with its existing rotating electric remanufacturing service for all makes of commercial, off-highway and specialist applications, in-house electrical rewind capability, dedicated performance range and dealer-level electrical diagnostics, repairs and installation, Carwood is reportedly able to offer a choice of competitively priced rotating electric solutions – new, reman and repair – for an even wider range of vehicles.
