Schaeffler discusses steering and suspension range

Schaeffler’s Marketing Communications Manager Jeff Earl discusses how Schaeffler’s latest range is taking the aftermarket by storm.

Schaeffler claims that its recently launched range of FAG steering and suspension components has been receiving glowing reviews from both the growing number of distributors choosing to stock it, and the professional technicians that have fitted the products, who are extremely happy with the quality, contents and ease of installation.

Drawing upon its chassis expertise, Schaeffler used its OE know-how and engineering skillset to create a range that it believes offers a genuine quality alternative to aftermarket installers.

BMF in Leeds was the first distributor to put a stock pack on their shelves, and they were impressed with every aspect of the offer, from the technical features and the packaging quality, to the market-oriented range and the fact that all the OE ancillary components needed for a professional installation are included in the box, right down to the last nut, bolt and washer.

BMF Director Mohammed Riaz commented, “We were proud and pleased to become the first distributor of FAG steering and suspension components in the UK. It was an easy decision to make! The quality in every part, and the support I have had from the Schaeffler team, is second to none.

“The feedback from garages has been overwhelmingly positive, which has simply confirmed that we made the right decision by choosing to stock a premium range from an already trusted supplier.”

It became clear to Schaeffler from its online steering and suspension ‘Tea-break training’ session that the FAG range was one that technicians would be keen to install. Now that the distribution level is increasing, more garages are getting the chance to fit the products, with glowing reports being received from technicians and workshop owners around the country.

Commenting on his experience of the products, Matt Wiseman of Wiseman Motor Services said: “FAG gives us the confidence that when we open the box, we will have all of the components required to complete the job first time, and that the part we are fitting meets or exceeds the quality of the original part being removed – with no downtime waiting for a nut or bolt to arrive that is not included in some aftermarket components.”

Schaeffler Hayley Pells of Avia Autos was also impressed with the FAG offer, after being provided with a selection of components for a local nurse’s vehicle. This allowed Hayley to get the key worker back on the road and Schaeffler’s UK technical team to see how its new range performed in a workshop environment. On the products, Hayley had this to say: “Fitting the FAG brand means the customer is benefitting from the best quality and excellent value for money, and we as repairers are making the most of our ramp time. Everything we do is geared towards helping professionals carry out the best possible repairs using the highest quality components.”
