Laser Tools reveals its latest set of injection rail blanking plugs.
When working on common-rail diesel fuel systems, it is important to avoid dirt getting into the fuel system, according to Laser Tools. It is important that the fuel rail is sealed off to prevent dirt ingress and allow individual injectors to be blanked off to allow further diagnostic tests.
The company’s new set of injection rail blanking plugs (part number 7668) is designed to let the technician seal off the injector ports on the rail, one by one, to assist in the diagnosis of fuel system pressure loss.
Twelve plugs are included in the set, in two sizes – M12 x 1.5mm and M14 x 1.5mm — and fit the most common-rail injection rail sizes.
