MB Motorsport and BTCC front-runner Jake Hill have announced a title partnership with Laser Tools that will see Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport take to the BTCC grid in 2023.
Laser Tools Racing is a car brand which has lined the grid since 2014, and MB Motorsport are reportedly keen to be entrusted with this chapter in their BTCC journey. Both parties are united in their bid to embark on a fully-fledged title assault in the upcoming 2023 campaign, with Jake Hill behind the wheel of the WSR-run BMW 330e M Sport.
Buoyed by their partnership with MB Motorsport, Laser Tools Racing intends to use its BTCC association as part of a wider marketing campaign to support the continued growth of its hand and specialist tools brand. Aligning with the Hybrid era of the BTCC, it is hoped the Championship will provide the perfect platform for Laser Tools to promote its range of fully insulated tools and workshop safety equipment for working on electric and hybrid cars.
Chairman of Laser Tools, Martin Smith, commented: “We have been very impressed with the team at MB Motorsport and we feel that Jake Hill is a future BTCC Champion. Mark Blundell has demonstrated that the synergy between Laser Tools Racing and MB Motorsport is already obvious. We are proud to be still competing in the BTCC and very much looking forward to what is sure to be a very exciting year for us.”
Sporting Director of Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport, Mark Blundell, added: “It is a hugely exciting moment for the MB Motorsport organisation to announce our new title partners in the shape of Laser Tools as we ramp up our preparations for 2023. Laser Tools Racing has already achieved so much within the series and we are proud to be carrying that baton forward now. Our discussions have been very productive right from the start and I cannot wait to see what Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport can achieve this year!”
