IAAF Golf Day hailed a success

The reported largest ever IAAF Golf Day has been hailed as a success by participants and the Federation, with more than 100 players taking part at the Belfry PGA National Course on Thursday 22 June.

Headline sponsored by Alliance Automotive Group, 25 golf teams competed for the IAAF Aftermarket Cup, in a day apparently comprising all weathers for golfers to contend with.

With a shotgun start, golfers were said to be able to take advantage of the NAPA sponsored on-course Pizza Van, fuelling them for the remainder of the course.

Mark Field, IAAF Chief Executive, said: “I would like to a give a massive thank you to everyone taking part in our Golf Day and to those who sponsored the event. IAAF is working hard to build a closer connection with members and our largest ever Golf Day underlines our efforts as an aftermarket community.”

The event also reportedly raised money for industry charity BEN, and will announce its donation shortly.
