Excel Automotive Group (EAG) has implemented MAM’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) in a bid to improve efficiency and accuracy in its warehouse logistics.
The WMS optimises the flow of products through the EAG warehouse in Leeds, managing all activities from goods receiving and put away to picking, packing and shipment.
It also includes a hand-held PDA and scanner that handles all data input and communicates wirelessly with the main software application, where a dashboard provides an instant snapshot of current activities.
EAG Managing Director, Adrian Lamb, commented: “With the amount of stock we hold and the size of our warehouse, we needed a premium quality management system to ensure we stay on top of everything. We did extensive research into what would be best for the company, warehouse and its staff and found that MAM’s platform was the best solution for us. It gives us all of the information we need, it’s easy to understand and it makes us more efficient, which is what we’re striving for. We’ve only had the system in place for a couple of months, but it’s certainly made the warehouse run smoother and was worth the investment.”
James Mitchell, Managing Director for MAM Software, added: “WMS is just one of the modules that is available to Autopart customers, broadening the already extensive functionality of the Autopart business management ERP software. We’re delighted to hear that the module is playing such an integral role in EAG’s day-to-day operations, and has been an invaluable addition to an already thriving business. Through simplifying and streamlining their warehouse management, we believe EAG is positioning themselves for continuous improvement, efficient process, happy customers and further success.”
