Dayco has strengthened its manufacturing footprint in China by partnering with Jiangsu Hongfeng Co., Ltd (HFAK) in the manufacture of its viscous damper product line.
This partnership will allow Dayco to expand its solutions for commercial vehicles and heavy-duty applications.
HFAK has more than 15 years of experience manufacturing silicon oil dampers for diesel engines in China.
This partnership forms part of Dayco’s global strategy to strengthen its footprint across regions, bringing the manufacturing of viscous dampers closer to customers.
Dayco will also be preparing in-house production for viscous dampers in various locations globally with plans to start production in India later this year.
Viscous dampers are designed to maximize power system stability while minimizing noise, torsional crankshaft vibrations and harshness. This line of dampers helps prevent crankshaft failures and extends the lifespan of associated components while improving a vehicle’s overall fuel economy.
