Perhaps best known for its popular air conditioning range, Nissens Automotive continues to add to its portfolio, with the addition of exhaust gas recirculation coolers. This allows its wholesale customers to provide independent workshops and professional installers with replacement part solutions.
Nissens Automotive has developed its offering to encompass three product groups: climate, engine cooling, and efficiency and emissions. In common with its ongoing development strategy across all its sectors, the company continues to establish a solid footprint within the green automotive systems sector, which seeks to reduce the environmental impact of the internal combustion engine (ICE).
Nissens Automotive’s efficiency and emissions product group consists of intercoolers, turbochargers, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valves and modules, and now, EGR coolers. This means that wholesalers supplying Nissens Automotive products can now benefit from being able to source a comprehensive range of EGR parts solutions from a single supplier.
Nissens Automotive Efficiency and Emissions Product Category Manager, Christian Germain Rosendahl, said: “While the car manufacturers strive to limit the impact that the ICE has on the environment, the aftermarket has the opportunity to mirror this policy when it comes to the replacement parts it supplies to independents.
“There is, therefore, an obvious need for reliable components that conform to the correct specification and continue to allow these vehicles to emit the level of emissions to which their engines are designed.
“As a result, Nissens Automotive continues to strengthen its position as a leading supplier, with the ongoing aim of assisting technicians to successfully service and repair these vehicles and by providing them with a wide range of premium quality components to allow them to do so.”
Manufactured to genuine Nissens quality
Nissens Automotive said these new EGR coolers are characterised by excellent product quality to allow them to conform to its ‘genuine Nissens quality’ standards. These benchmarks include undergoing a variety of tests, carried out both internally and externally, and incorporate design and material improvements that contribute to their high thermal performance and overall durability.
A further benefit for wholesalers comes in the form of the company’s ‘first fit’ concept, which, in common with every component in the Nissens Automotive range, means that whenever extra parts are needed for the EGR coolers’ correct installation, these are automatically included in the box, making them easy to install, as well as saving professional installers time and effort.
Sara Høegh Nyholm, the quality engineer responsible for the product extension, said: “During their production, we utilise only the industry’s highest-rated stainless steel and thoroughly test all the critical functions and the calibration of their inner mechanisms.
“We also methodically examine the thermal performance of each part, simulating the typical working conditions they are under with the very high temperatures and pressures of the exhaust gases.
“As a result, these EGR coolers are premium aftermarket products that replicate the performance and fitment of the original equipment (OE) component to provide an extended, trouble-free function in the harsh conditions resulting from the frequent temperature and pressure fluctuations within the exhaust system.”
The range
The initial EGR cooler range consists of 26 models for the most popular European Union car parc applications and covers the industry’s fast movers. It caters for 71 OE numbers and will rapidly increase in the coming months to support Nissens Automotive’s aim of developing a strong position in the market within the engine emissions and efficiency sector.
