In the powertrain field, in a bid to curb global warming, AISIN promotes vehicle electrification and has been involved in the development of automatic and hybrid transmissions, as well as engine components. Now, the company says urgent action is required to address climate change and is focusing on powertrain advancements in helping achieve the goal of zero emissions.
AISIN technology will create innovations to help solve environmental and social issues. By 2030, AISIN said it will raise the share of electric products to 50% of total sales.
The company has already proposed a range of fluids in the aftermarket. Engineered for drivability and smooth shift, the AT fluids provide improved step-off and acceleration, with optimal flow and temperature characteristics while protecting against corrosion.
Now, a new AISIN partnership with STELLANTIS offers a “new lease of life” on a damaged automatic transmission. Using the power and reliability of the AISIN service network, customers can have a workshop send their automatic transmission back for remanufacture and expect the piece back within (usually) a week. The process is designed to optimise repair time and allow professionals to remain competitive.
AISIN said this new service is in line with residual value of the vehicle and proposes an appropriate, sustainable remanufactureand- return offer. What’s more, the partnership offers customers high-quality of service and cost savings, plus they keep their repaired automatic gearbox, saving up to 80% of energy and materials versus a standard replacement, the company claimed.
This partnership is a direct response to market trends where the share of vehicles with automatic gearboxes is increasing.
