Think Car set to exhibit at Automechanika Frankfurt
Think Car to help workshops tackle diagnostic and data access challenges at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026.
Think Car UK is set to exhibit at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026, showcasing its AI-powered THINKTOOL 394 and 399 diagnostic tools, VAG Secure Gateway access and remote technical support service, alongside its wider range of workshop equipment, to help technicians work faster, more efficiently and with fewer costly delays.
With modern vehicles becoming increasingly complex and many workshops struggling to access vehicle data due to OEM-locked security gateways, Think Car will be demonstrating how its VAG Secure Gateway access, AI-powered diagnostics and remote support service can help technicians overcome barriers and keep more work in-house.
Taking place from the 8th – 12th of September in Frankfurt, Germany, the Think Car team will be at Automechanika Frankfurt showcasing its full range of AI diagnostic tools, secure gateway solutions, DPF cleaning equipment and workshop tools, with products available at a variety of price points to suit workshops of every size and budget.
Highlights include Think Car’s AI-powered THINKTOOL 394 and 399, the next generation of diagnostics. Built on a customised TCOS system supporting dual RTC diagnostics and dual VCI display for superior accuracy, both tools use built-in AI to scan the whole vehicle, explain fault codes in plain language and guide technicians step-by-step through repairs, alongside full system diagnostics, advanced coding, actuation tests and bi-directional control.
The 394 offers a 12-inch screen for fast, everyday diagnostics, while the 399 steps things up with a 14-inch screen, dual vehicle diagnostics and HGV coverage as standard. Both are fast-charging and come with two years of free software updates, plus access to Think Car’s live remote programming network.
The team will also be on hand to discuss VAG Secure Gateway access, which gives independent workshops the ability to carry out advanced diagnostics, coding, adaptations and online functions on VW, Audi, SEAT and Škoda models fitted with modern security protocols.
Many VAG vehicles built from around 2020 onwards restrict coding, adaptation and programming functions to authorised devices – Think Car’s solution unlocks full diagnostic access to these protected modules, meaning technicians no longer need to refer jobs back to dealers.
Visitors will also be able to get hands-on with Think Car’s popular DPF cleaning gun and browse its expanding range of workshop tools and equipment.
Technicians and visitors will have the chance to speak to the Think Car team in Hall 9.0, booth D40 to find out more about the full product range and how each tool can support day-to-day workshop practices.
Alex Gillbanks, Owner at Think Car UK, commented, “Automechanika Frankfurt is one of the biggest dates in the calendar for our industry and a fantastic opportunity to connect with workshops and technicians from right across Europe. Access to vehicle data is one of the biggest challenges facing independent workshops today, and as vehicles become more software-centric, that’s only becoming more important.
“We want to show visitors how our combination of AI diagnostics, secure gateway access and remote support can help them work smarter, keep more jobs in-house and get the most out of the tools they invest in.”
