IAAF reveals details for annual golf day

The IAAF has announced it will hold its annual IAAF BEN Golf Day on Friday 12 August, with guests vying for the IAAF Aftermarket Cup.

IAAF’s Golf Day will take place at the Arden Championship course, at Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel and Country Club in Meriden, Warwickshire, which has played host to a succession of international tournaments, including the British Masters and the English Open.

Mark Field, Chief Executive of IAAF, said: “The response to the golf day has been incredible and we’re really looking forward to playing on the fabled turf of the Arden championship course.

“Our event gives the unique opportunity to network across different areas of the independent aftermarket with a competitive edge added by the introduction of the IAAF Aftermarket Cup.”

The event will comprise refreshments on arrival, 18 holes of golf on the Arden course, separate competitions for Nearest the Pin and Longest Drive, plus an evening meal and prizegiving ceremony.

Places are still available with extra slots recently added due to heightened demand. Costs for a four-ball team is £475 with individual entry costing £125.

Registration enquiries should be sent to Ann Silvester at IAAF head office, via email, at anns@iaaf.co.uk.
