Trico discusses its wiper blade kits

Trico’s Group Brand & Marketing Manager (Europe) Sam Robinson discusses the company’s latest wiper blade kits.

As part of its premium Exact Fit range, Trico recently launched its beam blade kits. The OE wiper blade kits are said to be easy to stock, sell and fit; just one SKU has both front blades for a vehicle.

Packaged in an ecofriendly carton box, the range comprises just 95 references – 73 direct fit kits for OE beam blade applications, and 22 ‘retrofit’ kits for hybrid and upgrade applications. In total, this covers more than 95% of the beam blade vehicle parc. Due to Trico’s ‘superkit’ design that comes with an optional alternative connector, the company claims that this ensures over 40% less stock than competitor ranges, which often require in excess of 150 SKUs to attain the same coverage.

The new kits contain two of Trico’s ‘X1’ design blades. The company supplies this same blade as OE to VAG, for a multitude of vehicles, including VW ID4, Golf VIII, T-Roc, Audi Q4, Q5, Q7, TT, Škoda Citigo, Kodiaq, Superb, Seat Ibiza, Leon, Rapid, and Mi.

Trico’s Group Brand & Marketing Manager (Europe), Sam Robinson, commented, “The introduction of these beam blade kits is a game changer for Trico. While previously, we exclusively sold our OE wipers singularly, now customers will have the benefit of buying a complete kit with everything they need provided for them, with the reassurance that they are buying the exact same quality product that we are trusted to deliver to vehicle manufacturers across Europe.

“As we’re coming into the winter wiper blade season, this is a perfect opportunity for factors to increase their profit margins, whilst maintaining maximum vehicle coverage and reducing their inventory commitment. We created this offering with space saving in mind, so it’s clear, compact and comprehensive, and delivers a perfect premium direct fit wiper offering.”
