Maximising Sales of Aerosols

Morris Lubricants’ maintenance aerosols range undergoes an update and rebrand, with the aim to drive forward continued growth.

Morris Lubricants says its aerosols have been consolidated under the ‘Workshop Pro’ banner to give them a professional and eye-catching image, whilst maintaining product consistency throughout the range. The Shrewsbury-based company states that the move gives the Workshop Pro brand maximum trademark protection in more than 80 emerging and competitive international markets.

This is the latest in a series of steps taken by Morris Lubricants to strengthen and professionalise its product range in the competitive automotive market. The company says that the rebrand builds upon its positive work within motor factors across the UK.

The key to moving these products forward, according to Morris, was to show off their performance in a multitude of demanding situations whilst making them instantly recognisable to the user. A new colour coding system makes it easier for users who work with multiple aerosols to select the correct product for the appropriate job.

Expertly formulated

The range has nine products including the flagship MD4 Multipurpose maintenance spray, which has been formulated to provide superior performance across many maintenance applications. The spray has been chemically engineered and refined to satisfy the tough demands of maintenance professionals.

The next stage of the rebrand is to support motor factors seeking help with the best place to stock the brand and to sell it as an ancillary product.

Mike Fudge, an Area Sales Manager for Morris Lubricants, advises: “The entrance to your shop is your greatest ally in promoting new products to customers. Placing an attractive display with a new product in view of the entrance is a great way to attract customers to the location.

“The Workshop Pro range has successfully launched in motor factors this way and many have increased sales as a result. Others have increased sales from a point of sale display on the counter and even gained add-ons by placing the Workshop Pro aerosols in between the range of engine oils, where the strong branding stands out and encourages customers to pick them up.”

The aerosols’ rebrand follows Morris Lubricants’ restructure of its automotive engine oil range under the Multivis banner. Designated into three generational tiers – ECO, ADT, CST – the oils capture the latest innovations, technologies and specifications.
